Ways to pay for care with Majesty
Home & Community Benefits for the Elderly and Adults with Disabilities
A MaineCare waiver program for adults who need a high level of daily help but want to remain at home instead of moving into a nursing facility.

Maine requires an assessment of functional and financial eligibility before MaineCare or state programs will pay for home care. Maximus is the state's Assessing Services Agency.
Apply for MaineCare
Submit the Long-Term Care application through Maine DHHS — online at My Maine Connection, by mail, or at a DHHS office.

Maximus decides whether a face-to-face assessment is needed, then determines which program and how many hours fit.

Tell your coordinator you'd like Majesty Home Care. We'll take it from there and schedule your first visit.
Have these ready before you call
- Full name, date of birth and address of the person needing care
- MaineCare ID number (if they have one)
- Primary doctor's name and phone
- A short list of daily tasks they need help with
